I enjoy many types of photography, but pictures of people interest me most. In a gallery of photographs, a portrait will usually hold my attention the longest.
As a photographer, I find no subject more interesting than a human face; the way that it can reveal something about a person and their character while still concealing their innermost thoughts, feelings, and experiences. This is what gives a portrait such depth, in my opinion. Even a simple portrait can tell a story.
Portraiture has become the main focus of my photography. Many of my pictures are close-up head and shoulder shots, allowing the viewer to engage more directly with the model and their emotions. They range from formal portraits to more creative and artistic compositions. I would like to continue to explore new styles as I expand my portfolio.
