I have been a keen photographer ever since I was a young boy, when my dad and I used to develop black and white prints in a makeshift darkroom. I loved the whole process from taking a photograph to seeing the image appear on paper in a tray of chemicals. Today, with technology offering more powerful (albeit less magical) ways to be creative with photography, my enthusiasm is stronger than ever.
My main interest is portrait photography, and this is reflected in the content of this site and most of the work that I take on. However, I also have a collection of photographs of the beautiful city of Cambridge (UK), many of them taken in the Victorian streets of the CB1 area where I have lived for many years. The Cambridge pictures are available for purchase.
Outside of my own private projects, I offer portrait photography to individuals, clubs and other organisations. I also run a photography group at my place of work, and direct the art exhibition at the Mill Road Winter Fair in Cambridge.
Publications & Awards
Several of my photographs have been published in journals and newspapers, and I have also been fortunate enough to have been highly placed in local and international photography competitions. You can read about some of these successes in my blog postings.
