The historic buildings of Cambridge University offer wonderful photo opportunities to visitors and residents alike, and they provide an attractive backdrop for some of my portraits. Beyond that, however, I generally leave the university colleges to travel photographers and tourists.
My collection of Cambridge photographs gives more of a resident’s view, showing the city in quiet moments away from the crowds through a series of riverside, parkland, and backstreet scenes. A few of my pictures were taken in the CB1 area, which shares its Victorian architecture with many other parts of Cambridge. As with much of my photography, I prefer to use black and white over colour. I feel that it adds mood, atmosphere, and an artistic touch.
