On Tuesday, I will be opening a solo exhibition of my photography at Hot Numbers Coffee Bar in Gwydir Street, Cambridge. Entitled “Cambridge – A Different View”, the exhibition will feature a collection of images that show our beautiful city from the viewpoint of a local resident. I will also be showing a few examples of my other work, including a small selection of portraits.
Hot Numbers is situated just off Mill Road in the heart of CB1. It is an area that prides itself on its diverse, colourful community and its varied selection of independent businesses and traders. Hot Numbers was established in 2011 in the old Dales Brewery building and has become a huge success. Earlier this year, it was named as one of the top 30 coffee houses in Britain, in a list published by the Daily Telegraph. I walk past this building most days, and it has been great to see the coffee bar thrive and become such a popular meeting place. I am delighted to have this opportunity to fill their walls with my artwork!
There will be a preview evening for the exhibition on Tuesday 21st March 7-9pm, to which everyone is invited. The bar will be open, serving home-roasted coffee, craft beers, wine, and other hot and cold drinks. Musician Tom Breeze will be setting the mood with his wonderful piano playing. Please come along if you can!
The exhibition continues until April 16th. You can find more information at http://hotnumberscoffee.co.uk/gallery-1.
